Moose Jaw’s City Hall has moved to new, permanent hours beginning this week.

Starting Monday, City Hall is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays (excluding stat holidays). Phone calls will still be answered by staff between 8:15 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“We're able to take calls before those hours and after those hours and we're doing everything we can to help the citizens in this time period,” said Mayor Fraser Tolmie.

The city is also removing the need for visitors to undergo a temperature check before entering the building.

Other public health measures are still in effect including a security desk at the main entrance and the requirement for all visitors to sign in and out. Masking must be worn, physical distancing must be maintained, appointments are required to meet with city administration or the mayor, and attendance at city council will be capped at 30 people including members of council and administration.

“Now that things are opening up, this is a good way forward for City Hall to open up our hours and allow people to come in with expanded service,” said Tolmie.

Any payments that need to be made can be done online or left in the dropbox in front of City Hall. Parking tickets can also be paid through the City of Moose Jaw app.
