There are now three ways for residents to have their Christmas trees turned into mulch.

Early this week the City announced they will be picking up trees starting on January 14th or residents could arrange a time with Wakamow Valley to have them dropped off at 400 block of Home Street. if you're planning to take your tree to this location, you can contact Wakamow Valley at 306-692-2717.

On Friday the City added a second location for dropping off clean, natural Christmas trees. Residents can stop by the bike park parking lot west of Yara Center at any time until January 25th to recycle their tree.

The City says the most important thing for people to remember is that your tree is cleaned off.

"Please remember to remove all decorations/tinsel from the tree and have it put out where your garbage is picked up (i.e. front street collection – place it on boulevard/back of sidewalk or if you have rear lane collection, place it near your garbage collection area)," they said in a written statement.

If you have any questions you're asked to call the City's engineering department.
