With the boxes shipping off Sunday, it's the last chance for residents to get their Operation Christmas Child gift boxes for Samaritans Purse.

These boxes are sent to developing countries across the world to give children toys and school supplies that they can't get, even if they don't celebrate Christmas. There are a few simple gifts you can out in the box to be sent out.

"What they would suggest putting in the shoebox is hygiene items, school supplies, some kind of a toy or gift that would thrill a child and the only other thing that they would ask if that you include a $10 donation to help with the cost of shipping the shoebox overseas," Samaritans Purse Volunteer Marlie McLeod explained.

No liquids or violent toys or weapons will be sent out in the box so don't include those.

Box collection is happening at the Alliance Church with the deadline of November 18th.
