Moose Jaw RCMP has laid charges against two men in relation to the theft of property in the Caronport area.

Mark Morison is facing several charges possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of break in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of Schedule I drugs and possession of Schedule I drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Morison will make his first court appearance on May 4.

Ron Potomski was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of break in instruments, fail to comply with release order conditions and fail to comply with probation order.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on June 4.

On April 15, RCMP found a stolen vehicle near Caronport with several stolen items in it. Police also searched a rental vehicle that day to find more stolen property.

Fifteen days later, police executed a second search warrant at a house in Mortlach and found more stolen property, including a truck topper, boots and tools.

The RCMP continue to investigate.
