The provincial government is asking questions about the Direct Sellers Act, and they want input from citizens and consumers, as well as Business people and stakeholders.

Currently the act regulates those who solicit the purchase of goods and/or services door to door or by telephone, and the government is looking at possibly repealing and replacing the act.

Some of the question the government is asking are...who should be considered a direct seller, whether the current exemptions from licensing should be maintained, whether there should be specific provisions relating to gas retailers who direct sell to consumers, what activities should be included as direct selling, and cancellation rights.
