Visitors to Moose Jaw admire and speak fondly of the cities murals, but sometimes the people who live here forget about them.  Tourism Moose Jaw and the local Murals committee aim to change that with a program later this summer called "All Things Murals".

Moose Jaw has almost 50 murals and many of them will be highlighted in a special day of trolly tours happening on Saturday August 29th.  More than 30 local works will be featured along with the stories behind them told by local artists Gus Frose and Grant McLaughlin who are responsible for some of the works themselves.  One of the murals featured will be "Jewels and the Royals", a mural that salutes the history of womens ball in Moose Jaw.  That peice of history will be presented by 91 year old Gladys MacDonald who played with the Royals.

It was 25 years ago, August 30th 1990, that Moose Jaws first mural "Remember Old 80" was completed on the side of the Royal Hotel on River street.  For more information on the tours, contact Tourism Moose Jaw.
