Mike Bachiu, Heather Eby, Steven White and Doug Blanc will all get a chance to share their thoughts Tuesday night, as the four City Council candidates will be speaking at a candidate forum put on by the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club.

Each person running will get three minutes to speak about what they would like to do if elected and they will then answer questions from anyone in attendance.

"Putting them in a position of power, you really want to know what somebody's standing for, what they're behind and what they're looking into, and to know that they're personable and you can contact them if you have any question," Jeremy Hansen with the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club said. "This lets people see the candidates, I guess, in a real-life situation, so you can kind of just get a better feel of people in person I find."

This will hopefully prepare people for the October 17th by-election and the advanced polls taking place again on Saturday, October 13, from noon to 6:00 pm, then on the 11th from 5-8 pm with the final advance poll set for Monday the 15th.

"It's just nice to know that if you have a question or a concern that you can go there and they're going to answer it right there, and you'll know if their on your side for something or if they kind of understand where you're coming from, and it's just nice to have that option before voting somebody into that position," Hansen added.

The forum is taking place Tuesday night at 6 pm at Peacock Collegiate with just the candidates running for Council. If you miss it, you can find full coverage of the event online Wednesday morning on Discovermoosejaw.com.
