The Canadian Blood Services (CBS) are looking for the public's help as their inventory has greatly decreased over the last few months.

Director of Donor Relations in the British Columbia and Yukon regions David Patterson said it's common for their supply to dwindle through summer, but the demand is definitely there.

The CBS put out a call to hopefully gather 32,000 donations before Labour Day. However, Moose Jaw and surrounding area doesn't have a clinic until next week.

They accept all blood types, but would appreciate people with O-negative to step forward, as this blood type is compatible for everyone in need.

Anyone wanting to donate can head to the Golden Nugget Center on September 6th from 2pm-7pm.

Some walk in spots will be available and appointments can be made online by clicking here or by calling 1-888-2-Donate.
