The Moose Jaw Kinettes club has a busy few months ahead of them.

The club is gearing up for Telemiracle, which takes place this upcoming March in Saskatoon, and the Christmas season, and they have a number of ongoing fundraisers and initiatives in the community.

Tanya Heisler is the Moose Jaw Kinettes Club President, and she spoke about some of the club's activities.

"We are selling Hockey Spirit Calendars this year, which is a new fundraiser for us. We also have a raffle going on right now; we're selling tickets for $10. Anything we raise through the raffle we will be donating back to the community through various things."

And they aren't just selling items to raise money either; the Kinettes club will be out and about in the community helping out those taking part in some `christmas cheer.`

"We'll be doing the 'Safe Ride' with the Kinsmen in December with a few of the Christmas parties going on around town. Usually we get doing some bar-tending with them as well. We are always looking for new members. You can contact us on our Facebook page or by our email. We always post our general meetings as an event on our Facebook page."

"If they just want to send a message to our page, we can try to get them out at one of our events. If they are interested in helping out at a fundraiser or something like that [the information is on Facebook]. If we have something coming up even before a meeting, they are welcome to join us for that too. Once they come out to a few things, if they are interested in joining, then they can apply to be a member of the club."

The Moose Jaw Kinettes were also able to present Moose Jaw resident Amanda Duckworth with a $1000 Bursary this summer from the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund. Graduating students who are interested in the fund can contact the Kinettes for an application for 2019.

The Kinettes meet every 4th Tuesday of the month, and Heisler wants to the community to know that they are always looking for members.
