On Tuesday, September 5th, the Canadian Blood Services (CBS) will be taking blood donations from the citizens of Moose Jaw and area.

Every 60 seconds in Canada, someone needs blood, and each year, the CBS are in need of donations.

The CBS is highly in need of O- blood as it's red blood cells are compatible with every other blood type.

Every year, just under 14,000 donation clinics are held, and it was announced at the end of August that they need to fill a 25,000 appointment gap.

You can donate at the Golden Nugget Center on Thatcher Drive East from 2:00-7:00 pm, and it's advised to reserve your spot and save time by booking and appointment ahead. There are also clinics on October 3rd and November 7th, 2017.
