The STARS Lottery is a significant source of funding to help keep our STARS in the sky and this year marks their 3rd annual lottery.

Funds generated through the lottery help the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society operate their bases in Regina and Saskatoon, providing rapid and specialized emergency care and transportation for critically ill and injured patients.

"This is our third annual lottery in the province, and it's the single largest annual fundraiser that we do for the two bases. July third is the early bird for the lottery and we're giving away a Mercedes, a trip to Las Vegas, and $5,000 spending money," said Bonnie Monteith, Communications Lead for STARS Air Ambulance.

The early bird draw is set for July 18th and the final draw goes August 13th.

"This year, the lucky winner if we sell out the 50/50s will go home with $700,000 cash. We're almost there, close to a sell out on the 50/50 and we hope to have a sell out on the lottery tickets as well," said Monteith.

The lottery this year includes three grand prizes, 15 vacations, five vehicles and more. You can get your tickets by visiting STARS website. Tickets are $60 each, 2 for $100 or 6 for $250.
