Yet again, it's back to bi-weekly for the residents of Moose Jaw.

Waste collection will be changing back from weekly collection to by-weekly collection from the City of Moose Jaw.

"The last week of September is the last week of weekly pickup for residents, by-weekly pickup will resume October 1st, and that will start with Zone 1 on October 1st," explained Public Works Supervisor for Solid Waste and Waste Water, Jesse Watamanuk. "If you were a Monday pickup you will be a Monday pickup going forward. It will be the same day of pickup, now it will just alternate bi-weekly, so every other week."

Everything will remain the same for residents in regards to recycling and the day of the week your garbage is picked up, the only change that will require an adjustment will be which week your garbage is picked up.

A few reminders from the City in regards to pick up, make sure to have snow cleared around your bin when the weather changes, have the green bin ready for collection by 6:00 am it's scheduled day, and return the bin back to your property within 24 hours of it being picked up.

The City had a downloadable schedule available for anyone wanting one or you can pick one up and ask any questions you have about the change by calling the City's Engineering department at 306-694-4448.
