As summer vacation comes to a close, CAA Saskatchewan wants to remind drivers of some automotive etiquette when it comes to school zones.

CAA Director of Communications and Public Relations Christine Niemczyk says kids are going to be excited and not necessarily paying attention so drivers need to be cautious.

"We do remind motorists that kids are back to school soon so make sure you slow down to the posted speed in the school zone, stop for school buses that are loading or unloading students and we know that in front of some of the schools there are going to be no stopping signs so obey the signs and check with the school to see where the designated drop off and pick up areas are."

Parents are also being reminded to talk to students about vehicle safety including the use of crosswalks, not darting out between vehicles and traffic lights.
