As of 7:30 August 30, the RCMP still has yet to release an update on the collision which caused the closure of the Trans-Canada's eastbound lanes yesterday.

At around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, Police responded to what they called a serious collision 10 kilometres east of Moose Jaw.

A large detour was set up on the grid roads south of the #1 and extended 15 kilometres from Prairie Storm Paintball, all the way to the Belle Plain overpass.

Stephen Brown is a Regina resident who got caught up in the detour.

"Basically, they diverted traffic down a dirt road and then back up. In total it's like a half-hour detour. There are probably close to 400 vehicles stuck in the roadblock."

We will continue to update you as information becomes available.

**UPDATE** Highway 1 is now back open to traffic.
