The power outage that impacted various communities throughout the province was causing even more problems in the Assiniboia area.

A Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory went into effect for the town of Assiniboia and surrounding communities as they were experiencing issues with "depressurization".

Shortly after the advisory was issued, it was upgraded to a Water Supply Emergency Advisory Alert. This means that the areas water supply has been shut down due to a lack of power causing the disruption.

However, now the power and water are restored to the community south of Moose Jaw. Not much was released, although officials say they had a "disruption to the water supply due to the loss of power to the town." Thankfully, with the power restored, the plant which provides water to the area was once again operational.
