Charges have now been laid in that high speed chase on the north side of Moose Jaw back in November that left a car abandoned on some local railroad tracks.

It happened November 7th when local police received a call that a vehicle was about to enter the city at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to keep the vehicle from entering Moose Jaw but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was going 160km per hour the wrong way on the TransCanada before it jumped the ditch and started down Main Street.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on the CPR tracks with no driver in sight.

After nearly two months, police have made an arrest. 28 year Alex Wagar of Calgary was arrested yesterday in Radville and faced a number of charges in court today including dangerous driving, flight from police, and possession of a stolen vehicle. He will stay in custody until January 6th.

The investigation continues and further charges are pending.
