Moose Jaw Police responded to an armed robbery Thursday night, which resulted in a vehicle pursuit in Regina.

Around 2:30 pm police were called about two masked males entered a store on the 400 block of High Street West, armed with a machete and what appeared to be a firearm and demanded merchandise and cash from the workers. Fleeing the scene, the armed robbers ran down the road where a vehicle was waiting for them.

Police were able to quickly locate one adult male connected to the robbery at a residence on the east side of Moose Jaw.

RCMP and the Regina Police Service were advised that the suspect vehicle was heading to Regina. RCMP were first to locate the vehicle in the Queen City but when they attempted to stop the vehicle the driver refused to pull over. Police pursued the vehicle but called off the chase soon after due to the speeds and volume of the traffic.

Regina Police then located the vehicle abandoned in a parking lot and saw people running away. Police pursued on foot and were able to locate and catch two individuals.

Moose Jaw Police have charged three males in relation to the incident, one from Moose Jaw, one from Caronport, and another from Regina.

The Moose Javian has been charged with robbery with a weapon (airsoft pistol), several firearms-related offences and disguise with intent. The Caronport man is charged with being a party to the offence of robbery with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. The Regina male, a youth offender, has been charged with robbery with a weapon (machete), weapon dangerous to public and disguise with intent.

All three will be remanded in custody for court on Monday.

The Moose Jaw Police Service will continue to investigate as further charges could be laid. They would also like to thank the RCMP and Regina Police Service for their assistance in the incident.

Not too many other details will be released either as police are still investigating.
