58 cases are considered active in Moose Jaw and the surrounding area (Sub-Region South-Central 2)

The government of Saskatchewan announced seven more people who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One individual was in their 20's, one in their 50s, and five in the 80+ age group.

194 new cases were announced as well, with 53 located in Saskatoon, 37 in Regina, 28 in the northwest, 21 in the north-central, 14 in the southeast, 13 in the far northwest, 11 in the far northeast, five in the south-central region, five in the central-east, two in the northeast, one in the far north-central, and one in the southwest. Three cases are pending resident information.

363 recoveries were also announced, and 4,204 cases are considered active.

124 people are in hospital, with 98 receiving inpatient care and 26 in intensive care.

The first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Saskatchewan Tuesday afternoon as well, with vaccinations starting Tuesday evening.

1,950 health care workers at the Regina General and Pasqua Hospital will be the first to receive the vaccine, including workers in ICUs, Emergency Departments, Covid Units, and staff at testing and assessment centres.
