There were 418 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported on Friday in Saskatchewan, two deaths, and 152 recoveries.

Of the new cases, 50 were in the North West, 47 in the North Central, 131 in Saskatoon, 23 in Regina, and nine in the south central zone.

Of the 418 new COVID-19 cases, 341 (82%) were unvaccinated, 22 (5%) were partially vaccinated and 55 (13%) were fully vaccinated.

2,755 cases are considered active. There are 38 active cases in the south central zone.

135 people are in hospital including 112 receiving inpatient care and 23 in ICU. 95 of the people in the hospital are not fully vaccinated.

With positive cases on the rise and limited resources, the SHA is asking those who test positive to help notify close contacts of their positive status.
