The Scotties rocked Mosaic Place in February. Coming in at #3 on our Top Stories of the year countdown is the national womens' curling championships that were held in Moose Jaw.

From February 14th to 22nd, not only were the best female curlers in Canada in the Friendly City, so were curling fans from coast to coast. Local restaurants, shops and hotels were full for the week and Scotties co-chair Glenn Hagel was proud of what our city pulled off with the event.

"Attendance of 60,000 over the course of the ten days, top notch curling and Mosaic Place was used to its max with compliments from all over the country.  At the end of the day, it was a significant boost to the economy here in Moose Jaw. It was win, win, win all the way around."

Hagel says the event turned a profit, and an announcement regarding a legacy donation from the Scotties will happen early in 2016.
