15 Wing Moose Jaw kicked off the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) during a ceremony at the O.B. Philp complex on Friday.

According to the GCWCC, the campaign is a charitable giving option developed exclusively for federal public servants and federal retirees.

The annual GCWCC takes place in federal workplaces across the country during the fall campaign period.

Captain Greg Donkers, who chaired the event, said this year’s goal is to raise $35,000-$40,000. Donkers also made it clear that anyone – military or civilian – can contribute to the campaign.

From November 1st-4th, 15 Wing members will be bagging groceries at both Safeway and SuperStore to raise money for the campaign.

Anyone interested in donating to the fundraiser can also contact 15 Wing directly.

15 Wing Moose Jaw’s participation in the campaign ends November 30th.
