The seven-day average of daily new cases is 244.

The government of Saskatchewan reported another 11 residents who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died in the province. One reported death was in the 40-49 age group from the far northeast zone, two of the reported deaths were in the 60-69 age group from the north-central and Saskatoon zones, two deaths were in the 70-79 age group from the far northeast and northwest zones, and six reported deaths were in the 80+ age group from the Saskatoon (2) and Regina (4) zones.

244 new cases were also announced, and 282 recoveries.

Of the new cases, 70 are in Saskatoon, 54 are in Regina, 25 are in the far northwest, 20 are in the northwest, 16 are in the southeast, 14 in the far northeast, 13 in the north-central zone, 10 in the central-east, seven in the far north-central zone, six in the northeast, five in the central-west, and four in the south-central zone.

2,478 cases are considered active.

208 people are in hospital, with 171 receiving inpatient care and 37 are in intensive care.

There were 118 administered doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported Wednesday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 34,672. As of January 28, 106 per cent of the doses received have been administered. This overage is due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received.

A shipment of 5,850 doses of Pfizer vaccine will be arriving in Saskatchewan the week of February 1. This shipment will be divided between the Lloydminster, Spiritwood, Saskatoon, Regina, Swift Current, and Moosomin areas and used to continue vaccinating priority populations.
