With their eyes peeled and a mission of having safe roadways, officers throughout the prairies geared their attention to a group of infractions last week.

The RCMP, in conjunction with the CTSS (Combined Traffic Safety Services), held their annual Safe Driving week with a focus on their big four - aggressive driving, seatbelt use, distracted driving, and excessive speeds. That being said over 1,700 tickets were issued, but some residents got off lucky with just a warning, 858 to be exact.

Below is a list provided from the RCMP and their stats from Safe Driving Week.

- 44 Impaired Driving (alcohol) charges

- 3 Impaired Driving (drug) charges

- 6 Driver's License Suspensions, alcohol-related (low impairment)

- 3 Driver's License Suspension, drug-related
