East Division teams have filled up the transaction wire in the Western Hockey League over the past few days.

With just under a week to go before the WHL Trade Deadline, the action has started to heat up as teams look to set their lineups for the stretch run.

There have been eight trades in the past two days with East Division teams being involved in six of those trades.

The biggest deal was swung by the Prince Albert Raiders as they added veteran sniper Dante Hannoun in a six-piece deal.

Prince Albert sent 20-year-old forward Kody McDonald, 17-year-old forward Carson Miller and a 2020 third-round pick to the Victoria Royals in the trade. The Raiders also added fourth and eighth round selections in 2019 in the deal.

Hannoun has 19 goals and 36 points in 28 games this season, while McDonald had registered six goals and 18 points in 30 games with Prince Albert, while Miller had 10 goals and 18 points in 38 games.

The Regina Pats pulled off three trades on Thursday as they continue to reshape their roster after hosting the Memorial Cup last season.

The first trade of the day saw the Pats deal 18-year-old defenceman Marco Creta to Kootenay in exchange for 17-year-old Davidson, SK product Blake Allan.

The second deal saw the Pats send 19-year-old forward Scott Mahovlich and a 2019 eighth-round pick to Lethbridge in exchange for a third-round selection in 2019. That's the second trade between the Pats and Hurricanes recently after they pulled off a blockbuster deal that sent Jake Leschyshyn and Nick Henry to Lethbridge at the end of November.

Regina's third trade on Thursday saw them acquire 17-year-old defenceman Tyson Feist and a 2019 tenth-round pick from Spokane for an eighth-round pick in 2019 and a fifth-round selection in 2021.

The Saskatoon Blades pulled off a pair of trades on Wednesday as they acquired 19-year-old defenceman Reece Harsh from Seattle for 17-year-old defenceman Zach Ashton and a 2022 fifth round pick.

The Blades also dealt 18-year-old defenceman Seth Bafaro to Vancouver for a 2021 fifth-round draft pick.

The WHL Trade Deadline arrives next Thursday.
