The wet, snowy weather on Wednesday caused some headaches for the Moose Jaw High School Junior Basketball League.

One game was rescheduled and one cancelled due to road conditions around the area.

In the games that did hit the court, the Vanier Red Vikings rolled to a 94-36 win over the Vanier White Vikings in boys action.

Rainer Olson and Rayann Cabral scored 19 points each to lead the way for Vanier Red in the win. Colton Clemenshaw chipped in with 15 points, while DJ Agapay also hit double digits with 10. All, but one of the Red Vikings hit the scoresheet in the win.

Sam Moyse led Vanier White with a game-high 23 points in the loss.

The win puts Vanier Red at 7-0 on the year, while Vanier White falls to 0-7.

The other junior boys game saw Central Gold pick-up a 81-54 win over Peacock Green. The Cyclones are 6-2 on the year, while Peacock Green falls to 5-3.

In juniors girls action, the Peacock Toilers improved to 7-1 with an 80-36 win over the Central Cyclones, who fall to 3-4.

Caitlyn Johnson had a game-high 28 points in the win for Peacock, while Caitlin Miller added 18 and Abby Grund scored 13.

Katherine MacDonald led Central with 13 points in the loss.

Coming up on Thursday night, there’s four games on the senior basketball schedule as Peacock hosts Vanier and Caronport heads to Assiniboia. The girls games tip-off at 6:20 p.m. and the boys hit the court at 8 p.m.
