Hockey season may have just ended a few weeks ago, but the next season is just around the corner.

The Moose Jaw Warriors released their 2018 preseason schedule on Wednesday night with the team kicking off the exhibition schedule at the Pats Tournament in Regina.

The Warriors will play the Saskatoon Blades in Regina on Aug. 31 and then take on the Pats on Sept. 1.

Both of Moose Jaw's home preseason dates are part of home-and-home sets.

They host the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, Sept. 7 at Mosaic Place and then travel to Irvine, Alba. to face the Tigers the next night.

The Warriors will finish the preseason by heading to Brandon on Friday, Sept. 14 and then hosting the Wheat Kings on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.

One change to the preseason schedule for the Warriors is the absence of the annual rookie game against the Swift Current Broncos, which had been a staple on the schedule for the past decade.
