Time to start planning your winter, the Moose Jaw Warriors released their 68-game schedule for the 2018-19 season on Tuesday.

The season opens on Friday, Sept. 21 against the Brandon Wheat Kings to kick-off a weekend home-and-home series, followed by the two sides meeting at Mosaic Place for the Warriors’ home opener on Sept. 22.

The Warriors will play 24 of their 36 home games on Friday and Saturday nights, while the team will also play home-and-home series with the Regina Pats on Dec. 14-15 and Mar. 8-9.

Moose Jaw also has two home-and-home series against Swift Current and Brandon and one against the Saskatoon Blades on Dec. 7-8, which will kick off a stretch of four straight home-and-home series against the East Division to end 2018.

The annual West Coast road trip comes in January for the Warriors as they will play seven games over 12 days from Jan. 15-25.

Some other key dates: the Warriors will host their annual Teddy Bear Toss Night on Dec. 15 against Regina and Moose Jaw will also host Brandon on New Year’s Eve once again.

The Western Hockey League is reducing the number of games from 72 last season to 68 this season, bringing the league in line with the Ontario and Quebec Major Junior leagues.
