Saskatoon put 50 shots on net on Sunday and scored three goals in the third period to beat the Moose Jaw Warriors, 5-3, at SaskTel Centre.

Tristin Langan scored his 50th goal of the season, becoming the 11th Warrior to accomplish the feat and giving Moose Jaw a 50-goal scorer in each of the past four seasons (Dryden Hunt in 2015-16 and Jayden Halbgewachs in 2016-17 and 2017-18).

Six and a half minutes into the game, Josh Brook had the puck in the Moose Jaw zone and made a hard pass north up the ice to Alec Zawatsky in the neutral zone, he burst down the Blades right boards and stopped on the half-wall before sliding the puck to a trailing Daemon Hunt, who let a shot go from just inside the Saskatoon zone that beat Nolan Maier to give Moose Jaw the lead.

Saskatoon's fore-check pressed the Warriors at times and that led to a 15-8 advantage on the shot clock, however, Moose Jaw was able to extend their lead with just over two minutes left in the period.

Playing four-on-four, the Blades had a chance to clear the puck but the forward lost control along the right wall, Langan jumped on the rebound and skated to the top of the right circle where he put a shot over the blocker of Maier, his 49th goal of the year gave the Warriors a 2-0 lead.

With just under eight minutes left in the second period, Saskatoon picked up its first goal of the game on a shot from Max Gerlach between the circles.

Only 19 seconds later, Langan etched his name into the Warriors history books. Justin Almeida stripped the Blades of the puck high in the Saskatoon zone and then turned and drove towards the Blades net, he skated to the left circle and then set up Langan in the slot where he one-timed the puck to the back of the net, scoring his 50th goal of the season.

Later in the period, the Warriors ran into penalty problems which led to  Dawson Davidson scoring a 5-on-3 power-play goal to make it a one-goal game.

Moose Jaw started the third period on the power-play but wasn’t able to capitalize and shortly after getting back to even-strength, Gary Haden put a shot in to tie the game at three.

Under four minutes later at 5:24, the Warriors weren't able to clear their zone which allowed Saskatoon to move the puck from the left blue-line to the bottom right circle to Max Gerlach who scored to give the Blades the lead.

With their net empty in the final moments, Moose Jaw had a good chance for an equalizer but wasn't able to convert, then moments later the Blades scored an empty-net goal to put the game away.

The Blades outshot the Warriors, 50-24. Moose Jaw was 0-for-2 on the power-play and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill.
