The Everett Silvertips scored early and kept the pressure on the Moose Jaw Warriors throughout Wednesday’s 6-0 loss at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Everett came out fast and hard and used their experience and speed to attack the Warriors throughout the opening period.

Nineteen seconds into the game, Dawson Butt took a shot from the left circle that went off the stick of goalie Brock Gould and rolled over the goal line to give Everett an early lead.

Moose Jaw had their moments to even the game.  Martin Lang led an odd-man rush up the ice and was stopped on his shot, and then just past the 11-minute mark, Lang came up the ice on a breakaway but was not able to finish on his chance.

Right after the Lang breakaway, Everett rushed up the ice and across the Moose Jaw line.  They got a shot from the left point but it was stopped by Brock Gould, unfortunately, the rebound came to Ty Kolle on the left side of the Warriors net where he scored to make it 2-0.

Everett added to their lead with under two minutes left in the period.  They took a shot from the right blue line that was blocked, but it rolled to the left side of the net where Michal Gut scored.

Twenty-six seconds into the second period, Everett put another goal on the board when a Wyatte Wylie let a shot go from the top of the right circle that made it through plenty of traffic and found the back of the net.

Two and a half minutes into the third period, Everett’s Ty Kolle scored his second of the game and then at the eight-minute mark, Jacob Wright deflected a point shot to make it 6-0 Silvertips.

Ty Kolle scored two goals for Everett, Ronan Seeley picked up three assists, and Duston Wolf made 10 saves.  Warriors goalie Brock Gould had a busy night, he made 36 saves on 42 shots.

Moose Jaw’s 12-day road trip comes to an end on Friday when they head back north and make a stop in Lethbridge for their final game of the season against the Hurricanes.
