You will probably be seeing a lot of Josh Brook on highlight reels over the next few days.

The Moose Jaw Warriors captain scored one of the best goals of the Western Hockey League season during the second period of Tuesday night's 7-0 win over the Tri-City Americans.

"Langer [Tristin Langan] just passed it to me, I came in on the angle and I've done it a few times in practice, it never works, but it worked that time, so I was happy it worked," said Brook after the win.

Brook's goal brought the fans at Mosaic Place out of their seats and left their jaws on the floor as the Montreal Canadiens prospect channelled Warriors' legend Theoren Fleury with the between the legs goal.

The highlight has already been shared by TSN's BarDown and elsewhere around social media.

"I just laughed a little bit, I knew he was going to do something, he had some time and space there, he put between his legs pretty good, you might see it on Sportscentre," said Warriors goalie Brodan Salmond, who watched from the other end of the ice.

The goal came with 2:30 remaining in the second period and helped the Warriors take full control of the game heading into the third period where they sealed the victory.

"I just gave him a smile, he looked up at me and there's not much I can say, he knew what he was doing there and it was a nice goal," said Warriors associate coach Mark O’Leary.

The Warriors had goals from seven different players in the win as they prepare to head out on the road for games against the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Kootenay Ice this weekend.

Salmond Stellar in First Warriors Shutout

Brodan Salmond didn't need to be perfect on Tuesday night, but he was anyway, turning away 33 shots for the fourth shutout of his WHL career and his first in a Warrior uniform.

"A lot of the time for the goalie, you’re just as good as the team in front of you and that was the case tonight, our guys did a great job of limiting their scoring chances and it's always nice when we get out to an early lead as well," said Salmond.

While the Americans outshot the Warriors in the game, Moose Jaw did a good job of limiting scoring opportunities for Tri-City throughout the game.

"Our d-men did a great job and that's something that you really appreciate when you're back there as a goalie," said Salmond.

The 20-year-old goalie has been sharp during his first season with the Warriors, posting a 6-2-2-1 record with a 2.52 goals against average, which sits fifth in the league, and a 0.908 save percentage in 11 starts.

He’s 3-1-0-1 in his last five starts.

Langan Leads the Pack

20-year-old forward Tristin Langan moved into the top-ten in the Western Hockey League in scoring after posting a four-point night on Tuesday.

Langan has a team-high 13 goals and 28 points in 17 games this season. He's just three goals away from his career-high set last season in 70 games.
