Some unfortunate news for Moose Jaw Warriors defenceman Josh Brook, who has been ruled out of Hockey Canada's World Junior Showcase due to an injury.

Brook was one of 40 players invited to take part in the camp, which will be held in Kamloops, B.C. starting next Saturday.

Hockey Canada announced on Thursday that Brook, Lethbridge Hurricanes forward Jordy Bellerive and Hamilton Bulldogs forward Robert Thomas would all miss the tournament because of an injury.

They will be replaced by London's Liam Foudy, Owen Sound’s Markus Phillips and Niagara's Akil Thomas.

Brook had three goals and 32 points in 45 games with the Warriors last season. He’s a second round pick of the Montreal Canadiens.

There will still be a Warrior flavour to the World Junior Summer Showcase with forward Justin Almeida and defenceman Jett Woo joining head coach Tim Hunter at the camp.
