Two local teams have their sights set on the provincial crown this weekend.

At the Softball Saskatchewan Under-16 'A' Provincials in Regina, the Moose Jaw Ice will be facing the Regina Fighting Saints (9:30 a.m.) and Saskatoon Phantoms (3 p.m.) to open the tournament on Friday.

The Ice will meet up with the Saskatoon Raiders at noon on Saturday and then they close out the round robin against the Prince Albert Aces at 6 p.m.

The top-two teams in each pool will advance into the semifinals on Sunday morning. The gold medal game goes at 2 p.m. Sunday. Click here for the full schedule.

 In Saskatoon at the Under-14 'A' Provincials, the Moose Jaw Ice have just one game on Friday as they square off with the Regina Lazers at 6 p.m.

The Ice will hit the field on Saturday against the Battleford Bandits at 1 p.m. and the Saskatoon Phantoms at 4:30 p.m.

The first place team from each of the four pools will advance into Sunday’s semifinals and then the gold and bronze medal games will go at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Click here for the full schedule.

Senior Ladies Semifinal Cancelled

Game 2 of the Moose Jaw Senior Ladies Fastball League semifinal was cancelled on Thursday night with the Hustlers advancing through to the league final.

The Hustlers knocked off the Heat, 12-3, in Game 1 of the semifinal on Wednesday night.

Game 1 of the best-of-five league final between the Hustlers and Colts will hit the field on Monday at Caribou Heights. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
