SHOWTIME at Mosaic Place on Saturday night.

The Moose Jaw Warriors got goals from 10 different skaters, Denton Mateychuk recorded 6 assists and Carl Tetachuck stopped 41 shots in the Warriors' 10-4 win over the Regina Pats.

The Warriors are likely to clinch a playoff spot this week but they're not back on the ice until Saturday when they host Saskatoon. The Pats are in a fight just to make the playoffs and they're back at it tomorrow night against the Broncos, in Swift Current and, it's the Broncos who own the 8th and final playoff spot today.

A number of local high school basketball teams advancing out of regional playoffs on the weekend to provincial championships this coming weekend.

Central Cyclones beat Saskatoon's Bedford Road 84-75 in the that 4-A  boys' regional qualifier while the Peacock Toilers also moved on. They beat the Johnson Wildcats out of Regina 78-69 to clinch their spot.

The city champion Central girls' team are also moving on to the provincial championships.  They advanced by winning the regional title game 69-42 over North Battleford's John Paul II.  Lilly Matthies scored 34 points in that game.

Cornerstone Christian Falcons are off to the 2-A Girls Provincials after an exciting home-court win on the weekend.  They beat the Davidson Raiders 63-61 to advance. Erica Kaminski scored a game-high 18 for Cornerstone while Jenna Bennalick scored 15.

National Lacrosse League action, the Saskatchewan Rush got back in the win column with a 9-6 win over the Rochester Knighthawks Saturday in Saskatoon.The Rush are back at the SaskTel Centre this Saturday night as they host the Calgary Roughnecks.

NHL.....the trade deadline is this afternoon.  Toronto Maple Leafs picked up veteran defenceman Mark Giordano from Seattle yesterday....Also, former Warriors' star Travis Hamonic is on the move, traded from Vancouver to Ottawa.

NBA...Toronto Raptors beat the 76ers 93-88....

AND...BASEBALL IS BACK.  Toronto Blue Jays were 10-4 winners over Pittsburgh yesterday in spring training action.
