Let the playoffs begin!  The Western Hockey League regular season wrapping up on the weekend with the Prince Albert Raiders sneaking past Swift Current to take the final post season spot in the Eastern Conference.The Broncos, Calgary Hitmen and Regina Pats all finishing 2 points back.

The Pats earned a home ice victory over Moose Jaw yesterday by a score of 7-4. Connor Bedard scored two - third period goals for the Pats, giving him 51 to finish the season.

The Warriors will play the Saskatoon Blades in round one and that series will begin Friday night at Mosaic Place.

NHL last night - one Canadian team in action - the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Islanders 4-2.

National Lacrosse League action in Saskatoon over the weekend, the Saskatchewan Rush downed the Colorado Mammoth 9-8 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Rush close out their home schedule on Saturday against the San Diego Seals.

NBA playoffs - the Toronto Raptors play in Philadelphia tonight. The 76ers lead that first round series one game to none.

Major Leagues - Toronto Blue Jays beat Oakland 4-3.  The Jays are off to a 6 and 4 start and sit atop the American League East Division to start a new week. The Jays will start a series in Boston tomorrow night.
