The Lynbrook Golf Club hosted its annual Club Championship over the weekend.

Brett Sentes walked away with the Men's Club Championship, while Linda Stirton won the Ladies' Club Championship.

Sentes fired an even-par 142 over the two rounds on Saturday and Sunday to capture the title. In the battle for second place, Dustin Usher edged Nick Lepine by one stroke.

Stirton shot a two-day total of 182, which had her six shots clear of Deb Firth, who carded a 188. Deb Higgins was the low net in the division with a score of 146, which gave her the win over Sharon Knittle via retrogression.

The Men's First Flight was won by Scott McGregor with a 156, which was four shots better than Dean Spicer’s 160. Lee Moen and Kelly Larson tied for the low net in the First Flight with Moen taking the win via retrogression.

Tim Peakman shot a 166 over the two rounds to win the Men's Second Flight by nine shots over Larry Sentes. The low net title in this flight went to Jim Keeping.

For the first time this year, the Lynbrook had a Super Senior Division (70+) with a trophy donated by the family of long-time member Dave Banting, who passed away recently.

Marv Maier won the Men's Super Senior Division with a two-day total of 155, which was six shots better than Ed Bekar in second place. Walter Zaluski was the low net in the Super Senior Division at 128, while Barry Johnson came in second with a score of 138.

The Super Senior Division's Second Flight had Don Thompson shooting a two-day score of 175 to pick up a five-shot win over Alex Cameron.

Terry Schick won the Men's Senior Division (60-69) after shooting a two-day total of 149. That was five shots better than Mark Thiele. Marv Merkel won the low net for this flight with a score of 135, while Mike Fitzsimmons was four shots back.

In the Senior's Second Flight, Fred Collins won with a 163, which topped Brad Jackson by one shot. Ken Jattansingh took home the low net title with a 134.
