There will be two golfers from Saskatoon in the field at this week's CP Women's Open at the Wascana Country Club in Regina.

Anna Young, who plays on the Symetra Tour in the United States, received an exemption into the tournament earlier this summer, and Bobbi Brandon, who is a PGA of Canada professional at the Moonlake Golf and Country Club in Saskatoon, made it through the Monday qualifying event to make it 16 Canadians in the field this week.

Brandon finished tied for second in Monday's qualifying event at the Royal Regina Golf Club after shooting a two-over par 74 to secure one of the four spots.

Sweden's Louise Stahle fired a two-under 70 to win the event, while American Jennifer Hahn (74) and Japanese amateur Kasumi Kuniyoshi (76) earned the other final three spots in the tournament.

The action moves over to the Wascana on Tuesday with practice rounds throughout the day. The opening round goes on Thursday.
