The Saskatchewan Rush's season is over a bit earlier than expected, but they're wasting no time preparing for the 2020 season.

The Rush signed captain Chris Corbeil and defenceman Kyle Rubisch to one-year contract extensions on Thursday.

Corbeil just finished his 10th season in the National Lacrosse League. He's served as captain for all three of the Rush's championships.

This past season, Corbeil finished 11th in the league in caused turnovers with 24. He also picked up 14 points from the defensive side.

Rubisch is considered one of the best defenders in the NLL, winning four straight Defensive Player of the Year awards from 2012-15. The Brampton, Ontario product is the NLL's all-time leader in caused turnovers with 346 and holds the single-season record with 61 in 2014.

Rubisch led the NLL in caused turnovers with 45 and he was 10th in loose ball scoops with 130.
