The West Division standings are heading down to the wire in the National Lacrosse League.

The Saskatchewan Rush lost 18-8 to the Calgary Roughnecks on Saturday night, which dropped them into a tie for first place with the San Diego Seals at 10-7. Calgary is also just a half-game back at 10-8.

Calgary scored early and often during Saturday's win over the Rush at the Scotiabank Saddledome, leading 8-3 after the first quarter and 14-5 at half-time.

Saskatchewan's offence never found its groove, failing to reach double digits for just the third time this season. Mark Matthews led the attack with one goal and six points, while Ryan Keenan had two goals and three points, and Curtis Knight chipped in with a goal and three points.

Goalie Evan Kirk returned to the Rush's lineup after missing the past five games due to injury. He allowed ten goals on 20 shots before being pulled in the second quarter for Adam Shute, who stopped 21 of 29 shots.

Dane Dobbie paced the Roughnecks with four goals and eight points in the win, while Tyler Pace had four goals and six points, Jesse King had two goals and six points, and Curtis Dickson picked up one goal and five helpers.

The Rush will finish their regular season this Saturday at home against the Colorado Mammoth.
