Dakoda Shepley has finally signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Saskatchewan's 2018 first-round pick signed a two-year contract with an option for 2021 on Tuesday.

Shepley was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft, but he chose to sign as an undrafted free agent with the NFL's New York Jets, playing in three preseason games before being released.

The 24-year-old Windsor, ON product played 32 collegiate games over four seasons with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds, winning a Vanier Cup in 2015 and he was a Canada West All-Star in 2017.

Shepley is six-foot-four and 310 pounds.
