After losing another offensive lineman to an injury on Saturday in Winnipeg, the Saskatchewan Roughriders added some reinforcements on Tuesday.

The Riders added two national offensive linemen to their practice roster, including 2018 first round pick Dakoda Shepley.

Shepley was selected by the Riders with the fifth overall pick in this year’s CFL Draft, however, the 23-year-old signed with the NFL’s New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in April, suiting up in three preseason games before being released.

The product of Windsor, ON played four seasons with the UBC Thunderbirds where he started 31 of 32 games, won the Vanier Cup in 2015, and was named a 2017 Canada West All-Star.

The Riders also signed Emmanuel Adusei to their practice roster. He was originally a seventh-round pick by Saskatchewan in the 2017 CFL Draft and he played in one regular season game last season.

To make room for the two offensive linemen, the Riders released national defensive back Tristan Doughlin and fullback Oumar Toure from the practice roster.

The 10-6 Riders will travel to Calgary to face the 12-4 Stampeders on Saturday.
