Dan Clark is out of the hospital and expected to make a full recovery. The Saskatchewan Roughriders provided that update on their injured offensive lineman on Thursday after a single-vehicle rollover earlier this week.

Clark was travelling home from a community event in Cudworth -- which is close to three hours north of Moose Jaw -- when he rolled after entering the ditch just outside the town. The 30-year-old was ejected from the vehicle.

"Most of the injuries were superficial and we were really excited to hear that," said Riders general manager Jeremy O’Day. "Dan arrived back home late [Wednesday night] and he's with his family and enjoying them, and we expect him to recover fully from the accident.

"He's very fortunate, he’s very lucky that he didn’t sustain more serious injuries."

With the accident still fresh, the Riders didn't have a timetable for Clark's recovery and return to football action, but O’Day was positive about the injury news.

"With being in a car accident like that, I don't think you can exactly give an indication on when you'll start feeling healthy enough to do normal activities or stuff like that, right now we're just more happy that Dan is in good condition and good shape," said O’Day. "He'll spend some time with our team doctors in the upcoming days and hopefully he'll recover fully."

The Riders are scheduled to open training camp on May 19 in Saskatoon.

Clark has been with the Riders since 2012. The Regina product won the Grey Cup with the team in 2013.
