The Moose Jaw Bantam 'A' Mavericks were tested to keep their undefeated season going on Friday night, as they edged the Swift Current Colts 4-3 at the Kinsmen Arena.

The win finishes off a perfect regular season for the Mavericks, who posted a 22-0-0 record in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League.

The final win wasn't easy though, Swift Current opened the scoring just 42 seconds into the game on a goal from Brogan Carlson.

Moose Jaw was able to tie the game up midway through the first on Nikita Halyk's 25th goal of the season.

Jesse Mielke put the Mavericks in front 2-1 early in the second period, but Swift Current's Sadie Keller pulled the Colts even heading into the third period.

In the third, Chloe Shumaker found the back of the net midway through the frame to put the Colts back in front 3-2, but the Mavericks didn't go away without a fight.

Halyk scored her second of the game with 7:42 to play and then Taylor Luciak scored the game-winner with exactly two minutes to play.

Brooke Archer backstopped Moose Jaw to the win in goal.

The Mavericks finish the regular season in first place in the South Division, 10 points ahead of the Colts. The playoffs start next week.
