A slow start sunk the Moose Jaw Peewee AA Warriors in Swift Current on Wednesday night.

The Warriors fell behind 4-0 heading into the third period and eventually lost 7-3 to the Broncos in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

Bryce Boughen had a goal and three points in the loss for Moose Jaw.

Trailing by four goals heading into the third, Dylan Duzan scored for the Warriors 1:06 into the final period and Boughen followed that up 5:54 later to cut Swift Current's lead down to 4-2.

The Broncos struck back with a pair of goals and the Warriors couldn't get any closer. Duzan’s second of the game with 2:11 to play made it 6-3 and Swift Current added an empty net goal to seal the win.

Casson Silbernagel took the loss in goal for Moose Jaw.

The Warriors are now 3-8-3 this season and they return to the ice for a pair of games this weekend, travelling to Yorkton on Saturday and then hosting Melville at the Red Knight Arena on Sunday at 1:45 p.m.
