The Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors picked up a big home win on Thursday night.

The Warriors skated past the Regina Shamrocks 7-0 at the Bert Hunt Arena to improve to 7-0-1 this season in the Hockey Regina’s Peewee A Division.

Trehvan McMorris had a goal and four points, while Tayden Hardwicke picked up two goals and three points in the win for Moose Jaw. Kale Pratte, Cole King, and Layne Gadd had a goal and two points each as well, while Kai Spencer scored the other goal for the Warriors.

Hardwicke opened the scoring for Moose Jaw just 45 seconds into the first period and then he added his second of the game just 7:55 later. McMorris made it 3-0 for the Warriors after one when he found the back of the net with 1:20 to go in the opening frame.

Gadd, Pratte, and Spencer scored in the second period to extend Moose Jaw’s advantage and King added the Warriors’ seventh goal in the third period to seal the win.

The Warriors are now until next Sunday when they host the Regina Rebels at the Red Knight Arena.

In other minor hockey action on Thursday, the Midget A Warriors dropped a 5-1 game to the Regina Buffaloes in the Queen City. Matthew Godlien had the lone goal in the loss for the Warriors. Moose Jaw is back on the ice on Friday night when they host the Notre Dame Hounds at the Barkman Arena in Caronport at 7 p.m.
