Eleven golfers teed it up on Monday at the Hillcrest Golf Club for the Moose Jaw high school golf sectional championship.

Peacock walked away with three out of the four titles during the day as they won both the boys and girls team titles and Peacock senior Reece Helland won his second boys singles title in three years.

Helland fired an 84 during his round on Monday to capture the boys title by 11 strokes over fellow Peacock golfer Cole Morash. Riverview’s Riley Marshall was third after shooting a 104.

The girls title went to Central’s Ray-Lyn Schmidt for a third straight year after she posted an 86. Peacock’s Myra Szabo was second with a 120 and Skylar Ackerman fired a 125 to finish in third.

All local golfers will now advance to the district championship this Friday in Coronach.
