A big comeback in their second game gave the Moose Jaw Padres a split of their two games on the opening day of the 2018 Western Canadian Senior Men's Baseball Championship.

The Padres opened Westerns at Ross Wells Park with a 13-6 loss to the St. James A's in the afternoon on Friday, but they bounced back with a come from behind 9-6 win over the Prince George Grays in the night game.

In other action from Day 1, the Saskatoon Outlaws won 14-8 over Prince George and lost 13-9 to the Border All-Stars.

Westerns continue on Saturday with four more games at Ross Wells, starting with the Border All-Stars against St. James at 10 a.m.

The Padres will be on the field against Saskatoon at 1 p.m, St. James faces Prince George at 4 p.m. and the Padres finish their round-robin against the Border All-Stars at 7 p.m.
