Today is the last day to sign up for a new beach volleyball league that is starting up in Caronport.

The league is hoping to have 16U, 18U, youth coed and adult coed divisions. The games will consist of two sets of 21 points.

"Each division will have their own league going on for the whole six weeks of summer," said Briercrest College women's volleyball coach and beach volleyball coordinator Kirsty Abbott.

"If people are interested, hopefully, we will have tournaments near the end of summertime as well."

Two new beach volleyball courts with adjustable nets are being built in the town for a total of four courts that can be used by the league. The courts are situated across from the Barkman Arena, between the softball diamonds and the football clubhouse.
