Moose Jaw's Sophia Page picked up a gold medal over the weekend competing at the Ambassadors Brazillian Jiu Jitsu League Alberta Provincial Open.

Sophia won back-to-back matches, the first by points and the second by submission to come home with the gold medal.

Page has been training at Control Jiu Jitsu in Moose Jaw for several years and this latest medal adds to an impressive collection that she has picked up including gold and silver medals at the Manitoba Open, gold and silver medals at the Queen City Open, and a gold medal at the True North Grappling Championship hosted in Edmonton.

Moose Jaw's Derek Snow also picked up a bronze medal in the men's blue belt division in Calgary over the weekend.
