While the province has given the go-ahead to some activities to continue with significant social distancing, it appears youth flag football won't be able to be one of those .

"Therefore, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Moose Jaw Youth Flag Football Season," that organization's Wendy Vincent said in a message. "We had hoped to be able to run our program in June, and had worked on various scenarios to make that possible.  Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, and with safety in mind, we will not be moving forward with our season."

"The health and safety of all our participants, including players, coaches, staff, officials and fans is of the utmost importance to us."

She said they will begin issuing full refunds to all participants.

"This will be a time-consuming process and we would ask for your patience while we process the refunds.  Anyone who paid online with a credit card when registering, can expect an online refund directly back to your credit card.  Anyone who paid through etransfer, can expect a cheque through the mail," Vincent wrote.

She said they look forward to a time they can gather together again to enjoy the sports we love.
