Moose Jaw's Quinn Ingalls and Team Canada are world champions.

Canada knocked off Team Iroquois, 15-10, in the gold medal game of the 2018 World Junior Lacrosse Championship on Sunday night at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.

Team Canada posted a perfect 3-0 record over the course of the tournament on their way to the gold medal, outscoring the opposition 57-26 over the three games.

In Sunday's final, Canada held a slim 6-5 lead at halftime, but they took control of the game in the third quarter with four straight goals to lead 10-5 after three.

Team Iroquois put together a big charge to start the fourth quarter with four straight goals of their own to cut Canada’s lead down to 10-9, but Canada responded with five of the next six goals to secure the win.

Courtice, ON product Brad Lyons led the charge for Canada with a hat trick and five points, while Etobicoke, ON product Johnathan Peshko pitched in with four helpers.

Surrey, B.C.'s Brendan Szabo also had a hat trick for Canada in the win, while Florence, ON product Kyle Dawson had two goals and three points.

Marshall Powless had three goals and five points in the loss for Team Iroquois.

Canada was outshot 69-60 by Team Iroquois in the game, but goalie Brody Harris from Lander, B.C. made 59 saves to help Team Canada to the victory.
